Holy crap

Well--we have been bad bad bloggers--and I came across this today--and everyone should read it--I'm speechless. Really. (and thats pretty tough to do)

I offer you: A Commentary - Media provides cover for assault on traditional marriage

By James C. Dobson

P.S. --James C. Dobson is founder and chairman of Focus on the Family Action. (Or--as I would like to refer to him as--the self-anointed King of the Bigots)

http://www.cnn.com/2006/US/06/28/dobson.gaymarriage/index.html

My favorite part is when he compares the legislative battle to ban gay marriage to William Wilberforce's struggle to ban the British slave trade in the 1800's.

could this guy BE a bigger horse's ass?

i'd like to point out that he wrote "The truth is they [liberal senators] don't give a hoot about the traditional family." HOOT! do you really want to use the term "give a HOOT" on CNN, james??? really?! also, when the divorce rate in america hits 50%, i don't think it's only the liberal senators who don't give a hoot about your beloved "traditional family."

dobson claims that there are "19 states in which voters overwhelmingly defined marriage as being between a man and a woman." guess what, jackass, last time i checked there were, um, like 50 sates in the union, and though i wasn't a math major, i think 19 is still not a majority of 50. or did they not teach math in church?

then he refers to marriage as "this 5,000-year-old institution, which was designed by the Creator, Himself."
hello? seperation of church and state? yeah, hi, this is james dobson calling. you're really not convenient for my arguement. so, goodbye!

thanks for blogging, eel. now i'm all riled up at 2am.
