the blog ate my homework
i wish i'd read this before i started this stupid thing.
just kidding. i love b + p and all 2 of our readers. thanks for hanging in.
is it wrong that instead of doing my homework on thursday afternoon i sat on my couch and watched "cash cab"? if the GRE and graduate school are anything like this taxi trivia show, i'm going to fucking rule. otherwise, i'm back to being the best procrastinator of all time.
seriously.
not only did i not do my homework, but i then proceded to go out to dinner (at a normal hour - awesome), drink vodka, and have my very first (and last) bloomin' onion, about which i had heard many positive things. turns out, this thing is highly overrated. but i did document the event, and i was challenged to put the thing on the blog and since i'm a woman of my word, here it is, in all its deep-fried glory:
in other news, my first day of class was awesome. it felt great to be back on a college campus. in a wave of first-day-of-school optimism, i thought "this semester, i'll do all the reading, i'll do the extra-credit, i'll even be a class-participation all-star." and then, a mere two days later, danger is sitting on the couch, watching tv and not doing her homework. and now it's sunday afternoon, and i'll wake up tomorrow morning with that familiar knot in my stomach that comes from the knowledge that my homework is not done, and that in the hour before class i'll be scrambling to get my shit together, cursing myself, kicking the copy machine in the library, and being generally disgruntled instead of the A student i always set out to be.
it is SO SO GOOD to be back at it.
